Killer eBay Selling Tips, Part I
eBay Selling tip #1: Charge a handling fee. This tip seems quite
obvious, but many newbies don't realize this: An item that sells
for $10 + a $5 shipping fee and an item that sells for $5 + a
$10 shipping and handling fee both mean $15 to the customer. But
you paid less eBay fee for the latter. This is NOT dishonesty,
because you DESERVE to be paid for handling the product. Note: A
Shipping and Handling fee that's TOO high will make you look
greedy, and people won't buy the item.
eBay Selling tip #2: Have a good ending time. You can care less
if your target bidder is the whole world. But if your target is
your own country, consider this: Many bidders view/bid on an
item within the last hour of the ending time, so if an auction
ends at 5:00am, this item is !#$@ed. For UK people, some time
between 9-12 pm is good. For US people, some time around 8
Pacific (12 Eastern) is good, don't let it be too early or too
late, because people live in very different time zones. Note:
again, use with caution, you should understand that when many
sellers are using this strategy, they'll end up selling similar
items at the same time, and their items are still !#$@ed.
