Why are you being ignored?

Nobody wants to be ignored. But that is just what people are doing to all the things that they receive in their emails. If you think about it, all the effort ignored and not even given a glimpse. Talk about being ignored.
There are some reasons why your mails are getting ignored. Better to know them than be a part of the bin and be discarded like thrash.
Follow up emails. These kinds of mails are okay and are quite necessary if you want people to know you exist and just how serious you are taking the matter. The thing is, give people some time to digest what you are trying to say first. Give them time to answer your first message first. Wait 24 hours maximum. People do have other things to do besides sit in their computer and look at their mails, you know.
HTML. These mails usually are twice the size of a plain text with the same content. Chances are your mails will be cut off if the recipient has set their mail to skip downloading. Now the readers have to make an extra effort to try and retrieve what is lost. Besides, blue hyperlinks are not really that attention-seeker it should be. Irritating sometimes.
Ezine. It is very inconsiderate to send mails the size of an ezine to business people. This is a guarantee that your mails would not be read because they do not have the time to go through many quotes or lines just to get to the zest of the mail. The flowery and juicy words may have worked for your lover, but certainly not the readers who do not even know you at all. Just get directly to the point and keep moving. Not everyone have all the time in the world.
Important! Is it really that important? People have the knack to mark their messages with High Priority or something like that. There are lots of cynical and sarcastic persons who will be receiving your "important" mails and would probably read them last. It is a shot, yes. But do not start abusing priority markers just to get a reply. You might not even get it because of that.
If you want people to give you some of their time, do not do the things mentioned above. You might think they are good marketing strategies online but readers are now too wise to fall into one of them.
Try the opposite.
