What Has The Internet Taken From You ?

What Has The Internet Taken From You ?
(c) Phillip Fuller
2003
This isn't an article about losing money to a seemingly promising program or product.
Most likely, we've all invested money in programs and products that just didn't meet the anticipated need.
What are you investing your time in on the internet ?
Are you seemingly forever 'scanning' your email to try to sort out that 'stuff' from the legitimate emails ?
Are you hoping against hope that you find 'THE' program, product, or service that WILL FINALLY help YOU turn the corner on your online efforts ?
You are NOT alone :)
For example:
Do you remember when Network Marketing companies FIRST came out ?
What did the HONEST recruiters preach and teach ?
Usually, something along the lines of, 'This is going to be a three to five year game plan. Can you commit to that ?'
You may think I've wondered off the path, comparing network marketing to internet marketing, but consider this;
1. BOTH require an investment of TIME. You'll spend a good bit of time building your business. Yes, there are things you can do to automate, but you'll re-invest the saved time into other required tasks to keep you afloat.
2. BOTH require monetary investments. Yes, there are SOME things resources that are fr*ee, and even require a bit of imagination to best use them. However, you MUST make investments into your business in order to gain a return.
3. Both industries now seem to try to cater to those who may not be SERIOUS about BUILDING THEIR business. We even have proclaimed "We'll build your downline for you."
4. We, unfortunately, tend to be lazy. We KNOW there is no such thing as getting '10,000 bucks my first month' Yet, we keep searching for some 'magic' program or product to deliver just that. We ultimately search ... and search ... and search. Only to find poor results from our endeavors.
5. There truly is NO magical program or product. There is no magic 'foo-foo' dust we can sprinkle over you for success. Success is developed over time.
The end product is ... Are you ready ?? ... YOU ! Are you the same person you were when you first started ?
I hope you have grown and developed in a positive way past that. You MUST develop your self FIRST, THEN teach others to do the same. Remember, you can't teach what you do not know.
