Massive Web Site Promotion - 10 Strategies Revealed
Strategy #1 - Free Directory Submission
First thing first. There are LOTS of free web directories eager
to get and show your web site's address in their pages for free.
You will only need to submit your name, your web site's URL, a
small description of your web page, and also you will have to
provide an email address for submission confirmation.
Strategy #2 - Link Exchanges
Linking partnership is an agreement between two related web
sites for exchanging links. You could easily insert a page
called "Related Links" and add some links to other partners or
related web sites.
Strategy #3 - Creating An Automatized Routine
That's quick: Build your own web directory where webmasters can
submit their page only after adding at least one link to your
web site!
This process is also time effective because you don't have to
visit their page to make the time consuming submission: they'll
do all the job, from adding your web site's URL on their web
page, to submitting their info into your directory - you just
have to approve the process.
Strategy #4 - Discussion Boards and Forums
Ever visited a forum? Is is that place where members talk about
a certain topic.
Join a forum where people talk about your topic and insert a
link in your replies signature. A signature is a text which will
be automatically added at the end of each message you write. If
someone reads your replies or new posts, they will also spot the
link in the signature.
However, you should read carefully each forum/ board's rules
regarding signatures because in some places, links are
prohibited and you could get banned from posting a while.
Strategy #5 - Email Message Signatures
Every email message should contain a link in it's signature. it
is the same thing as having a signature post on a forum...but
more appealing. When someone receives a mail from you, he might
want to know more about you... and here it goes: you just
released a quick hint :-)
Strategy #6 - Writing Articles With Free Publishing Rights
This is marketing: if you write an article and give others the
permission to include it's content in their publications, it's
pure gold. Don't forget to include your web site's address at
the end of each article.
As a guideline, tell everyone that removing the link to your web
page is prohibited.
Strategy #007 - Recommend This Page To A Friend
When someone finds an interesting article on your page it's
almost impossible to believe he won't tell his friends about it.
Add a "Recommend this page to a friend" link on every
page to spread the word automatically.
Strategy #8 - Awarding System - 2 Simple Steps
Is your website a good reference for the others? Why not making
a monthly contest or a free recognition system? You could simply
inform your visitors about the guidelines to become a winner.
How?
Step 1) Create an eye catching awards logo. It should
contain this text line: "This web site was awarded by
Your-Domain.com". Link the logo image with your website when
sending the HTML code to your winners.
Step 2) Write few guidelines for your contestants: give
them a cool idea to start working for the right to get an award
recognition.
Strategy #9 - Collecting Email Addresses
If someone wants to receive news about your web site, create an
email subscription system. From time to time, send to your
subscribers a message with worthy news. It will definitely
determine them to come back.
You want to sell a product faster? Write a short message and
hit the "red button"! Every subscriber will get your message.
Please consider the fact that S.P.A.M. is prohibited in many
countries!
Strategy #10 - Search Engine Results
Did you know that you can easily find lots of information about
a certain topic using search engines? Take some time and improve
your web site's relevance for search engines. Your page will get
lots of hits from search results if you concentrate on a few
particular keywords.

BONUS Strategy #1 - Off-line Promotion
The real world is also an important thing to have in mind. Print
your web site's address on anything you have: business cards,
calendars, pens, document headers or even put a small sticker on
your car's window... if you park in a busy place, someone will
notice :-)
BONUS Strategy #2 - Free Give-Aways
People love you when giving something for free. Write some big
quality information about a topic, put it into a small e-book
and give it away for free - insert a few links to your web site
on every page. Don't forget to inform you readers that your
e-book is free for distribution as long as they do not change
it's content.
If you care about your spare time, hire someone to write your
ebook or articles. A ghost writer is easy to find - just search
the web or visit a freelancing web site.
Bonus Strategy #3 - Write A Blog
Writing a blog is taking life more personal, and people will
like it! Start writing about your life, about casual things that
happen in your life. From time to time, mention about your web
site's activity.
Bonus Strategy #4 - Making A Buzz
Talk to everyone about your web site. Persuade the others to
talk about it. The word of mouth is a powerful technique
to get highly targeted visitors. Create a story subject around
your web site's topic.
Bonus Strategy #5 - Press Release
You could also consider creating a Press Release. There are many
web sites which accept press releases.
Make it sound official if you are using a press release:
write about you and your web site using the third person -
content will be more worthy to read.
